Hi, dear colleagues, Have a nice day, all of you!One of the comparative quizez I found for my sts asks to compare bush, shrub and tree. The tree is obviously is higher than a sky, but what about the other two. I �m sorry to say I don �t know the difference between the two synonyms, never met in literature, never used correctly... Can you help, pls ? |

Bush :
a low plant with many branches that arise from or near the ground.
Shrub
a woody plant smaller than a tree, usually having multiple permanent stems branching from or near the ground.

Here is some more information.
�The Chambers Dictionary�.
�BUSH a woody plant between a tree and an undershrub in size; a shrub thick with branches�.
�SHRUB a low woody plant smaller than a tree, a bush, especially one with little or no trunk�.
�TREE a large plant with a single branched woody trunk�.

There �s no real difference between a bush and a shrub, as far as I �m concerned. Well, except that we used to have a shrubbery in our garden, but we �ve never had a bushery. |
