That could be if you right-click to download, I had the same thing happening to me. Adjust yopur browser settings so that your computer asks you every time you save something where and how to save it, then the problem will be solved.
In firefox it is extras->setting where you have to go.
I understand your frustration, but asking more nicely typically gets more answers and more help ;o)
