							| Yes, Mary, it is correct.   Only if these actions were placed at the beginning of the sentence could they be written in the gerund form:   Eating and sleeping is all I do. | 20 Mar 2011

							| I understand the gerund is used after the verb "to be":
 My hobby is collecting stamps.

All I do is eating ...

or as sawer said "...is to eat..."

							| Sometimes you do use the to infinitive but in this case you use the bare infinitive   all I do is to eat and sleep does not sound right and is not used by NSs.   But by the same token all I do is eating and sleeping does sound kind of ok too as does All I am doing is eating and sleeping   But most NSs (imho) will say all I do is + bare infinitive     EDIT: More here at BBC saying both work but imho this specific example is undoubtedly an exception   | 20 Mar 2011

							| It is correct and this ns would say it because they are repeated actions - so they need to be in Present Simple.   Every day I wake, brush my teeth, comb my hair, eat breakfast.... | 20 Mar 2011
