It �s true that we, Argentineans should never forget those horrible days our nation lived during the military dictatorship, we should never forget the death toll, the kidnapping of babies and the tortures many people had to suffer. However, we should NOT forget or continue permitting the horrors under which many people are still living in our country. There are thousands of children dying from malnutrition and starvation, there are senior citizens commiting suicide because they can �t have a decent life as retirees, there are still many indigenous peoples in our country who are being alienated from society, our freedom of speech is being threatened day after day, there are unions leaders and politicians getting richer and richer through the established corruption and at the expense of the common workers, there are people who were missing during these last years and whose bodies are not found yet and no justice has prevailed for them, our education system is proved to have been a complete failure and our health system is completely collapsed! No, we should not forget about our past, we should learn from it, but we should keep our eyes open to see our present and our future because a nation that keeps looking back can not see the way ahead and may trip over the same stone over and over again! |

I wish this was a day of Unity for everyone in our country, I can �t help feeling that �s still something we should need to work upon. But yes, let �s never face such horrors again and remain in silence! Let �s show some courage in our days and show our students that we must never give up our hopes for a better country, if we truly believe in what we �re doing, then up to some tiny extent I think a better county is possible, then let �s all keep on trying to seek justice and truth in our little everyday life! Hugs everyone here and everywhere and thanx for sharing! |
