							| What age group are you teaching? Are they English speakers? The basics are j igsaws (reading is a lot about shape recognition) and picture books. If they �ve got something to stimulate their mind they are more likely to want to know what the words say. Cut out letters to make their name and other words...matching pictures with the right word...don �t expect them to read sentences to start with, let them fill in the words they don �t know verbally, building up to written sentences.
