							| Hello Everyone, I took a test and I couldn t understand this question. Yeah, I did it wrong.   Could you please tell me why the answer is E not B?     The Cirrus SR20 was an attractive plane ..................... people interested in learning how to fly, and it could also serve effectivelyas an air taxi .............. short-haul routes.   A- berween /over    B- to / at      C- towards/in    D- among/under    E- for / on      Answer: E   I looked up some dictionaries:   Macmillan:
having qualities or features which arouse interest:the site is close to other prestige schemes which should make it attractive to developers   Cambridge: a very attractive offer We want to make the club attractive to a wider range of people.     Please, help me clarify it.   thanks in advance     keftor     | 23 May 2011

							| The answer is E more because of "on" than "for".   Also, you ll notice that your examples have "to" immediately after "attractive", which makes a difference. That jacket is attractive to me.  In this sentence, "attractive" involves the emotions a little. That is an attractive jacket for people who like a sporty look.  In this sentence, "attractive" is more descriptive and less personal. I don t think "to" would work in this sentence.   You can t use "at" in the second blank, so E must be the answer.   I hope this helps you, Bruce | 23 May 2011
