A funny language confusion:

At the 2008 Panamerican Games closing ceremony, here in Rio, I don �t remember who started a speech in Spanish by saying "Hoy..." meaning "Today..." and the thousands of people present replied "Oi!", meaning "Hello!"

We have 11 official languages in South Africa � one of them is isiZulu (commonly known as Zulu). The pronunciation might be a little difficult!! (but interesting)

Hello ( To more than one person), Sanibonani (pronounced, roughly, "San �bonaan" - /saniɓɔ�na:ni/)

Goodbye ("Go well" - to one person, if he/she is leaving), Hamba kahle ... /�ha:mba/ /�ɠa:ɬe/
