							| To tell somebody wrong - meaning
 |
							| Hi, I can t find the meaning of this expression: You told me wrong. Any ideas? The whole sentence is: If you hadn t gone and told me wrong I wouldn t go of like this. I have an idea on how to say it in Spanish, but I m not sure.
 Thanks,  Olga | 8 Jun 2011

							| It s a very very informal phrase which means that you gave me the wrong information or you told me something which was incorrect.  I hope that helps. | 8 Jun 2011

							| As HH says it s very informal - actually, it s not grammatically correct. To say it correctly with no grammatical errors would be something like: If you hadn t told/given me the wrong information, I wouldn t have gone off like that. or That [information] was wrong.
