I created a group on Facebook so that a group of students I teach to can chat in English I need ideas so as to put a question to the group in order to encourage them to write The students � level of English is Elementary Thanks in advance!

What �s your favorite singer/TV star/soccer player/...
For exemple; My favorite singer is Justin Biber.
How old is he? He is.....
Do you like Shakira?
What �s your favorite soccer player?
Messi.
Is Messi from Argentina?
Yes, he is.
Is he good?
Yes, he is.
Where is he now?
Is he married?
Is he 20?
Carinita, I think you suggest things they normally like to talk about.
If they know more than this structures you can add more questions.

Hi Carinita,
You could also put sentences as "I like .... because ....." / "I get angry when...." / I believe that ....." and let them complete the sentences as they wish. you could also post pictures and ask them to comment on the picture or say what they understand.
