							| We´ve enjoyed the show/ we enjoyed the show
 |
							| | Hi everyone!
Could someone help me with this doubt? Recently, after a show (a theatre play) , I thanked the actors telling them: Im sure the pupils have enjoyed the show as much as we (the teachers) have. The actors were still on stage, but the play had already finished. Shouldnt I have said: Im sure the pupils enjoyed the show as much as we did.?
 Thanks

							| Hi... You are expressing your feelings after the play. This is the result of the play. You should use present perfect. Actually, the most crucial thing is that the night has not finished yet as you indicate. That is the second reason for using Present Perfect Tense. | 19 Jan 2009
