It depends on the meaning of the word; Puchero can be a meal or it can be the container which contains the food.

Hi, Here in Mexico we say "hacer pucheros" like a baby or a small child when they dont like something and it would be "to pout" I hope this helps :) |

Hi Cely, from one "rioplatense" to another, I don �t think there is a word for what we know as "puchero" ( @ LB : the ingredients of stew may not be the same ) ... When I had to use the word, I just explain what it consists of . |

Thanks a looot dear teachers! Imelda: Yes here we say " hacer pucheros" too... lol but this "puchero" is a kind of food, like a soup with meat and vegetables but different from stew. Aliciapc: I think so...I �ve been seraching the net but only found the explanation for a stew.. but, it�s not the same as you said.
