							| Ok! I think Salpetre man is an old portuguese traditional trade. Let �s split the word: 
 
 
 Salt - something that is used in cooking,the man had to extract salt and it was usually performedby a man called Peter.
 
 In Portuguese it would be "Pedro Salineiro" , very common in a small Portuguese town - Aveiro:
