Hi dear teachers!
"dar um fora" is an expression we use in some parts of Brazil to say when... e.g.
A guy try to seduce a girl (or vice versa) but she doesn�t accept and say "no" to him. (can be in a polite or in a rude way). So we can say that "ela deu um fora nele" Is there any equivalent expression in English for this one?

Perhaps:
"She turned him down." (does not have a negative connotation)
"She blew him off." (slang, negative, meaning is closer to: she ignored him.)
"She shot him down." (slang, relatively negative)

In Glasgow, we used to talk about giving or getting a �knock-back � (often abbreviated to �KB �, as in: �I got KB �d three times last night, man. That �s the last time I use Givenchy Pee. �).
