							| Help with a word
 |
							| Hi,
I am working on a play and do not understand what "powerball" means.

 It goes this way:
 .....

 HEATHER: Twenty!
We re winning!
BRENDA: (Getting into it) Twenty-five. We have
twenty-five.  HEATHER: 49!  BRENDA: And
the Powerball is, HEATHER: Seven! We won! ...

Up to there, I "guess" what it is, but later it says:

 BRENDA: Not
much. HEATHER: Only
95 million. JO: 95
million! Dollars? MOOCH: No,
Powerballs.

Unless the last answer is ironic ...I am lost   Any help, please?
 Thanks in advance!

							| It is probably about the American lottery called Powerball. In Europe you ve gott Lotto and Euromillions, in the USA the Powerball lottery :-) | 4 Oct 2011

							| So...you do not  win "powerballs" but money. If so, they won 95 million dollars. Is it correct?

Not much of a gambler here....

 THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH!

							| Yes, I think Mooch s comment is meant to be a joke. It sounds like a bad comic strip. They get all excited about winning $95 million, and it turns out that they ve only won 95 million powerballs.   Bruce | 4 Oct 2011
