							| Dear
Friends,
Which is the best word for describing the learning method, when the learner
learns without using his brain and just tells the sentences without understanding
the meaning?

I would like to use this word in a university home paper, so I need the formal form of
this word not the informal.

 Thank you for your help!!

							| Drilling is a technique which places emphasis on repeating structural patterns through oral practice. At its simplest, drilling means listening to a model, provided by the teacher, or a tape or another student, and repeating what is heard. This is a repetition drill, a technique that is still used by many teachers when introducing new language items to their students. The teacher says (models) the word or phrase and the students repeat it.

							| I ve heard about it only as a Montessori method - The absorbent mind and sensitive period which is from 2 to 6 years old.   "Montessori said that the child learns by unconsciously taking in everything around him and actually
constructs himself. Using his senses, he incarnates, or creates
himself by absorbing his environment through his very act of
living.2 He does this easily and naturally, without thought or
 choice."
Unfortunately, adults try to find the meaning to every word which is a big obstacle while they re listening for gist. It s quite discouraging for them and they give up.    | 18 Nov 2011
