"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you,no your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavensand the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. " Exodus 19:16-20,24-25;20:1-21 So, according to this, Sabbath is Saturday and it�s the seventh day. So Sunday would be the first one. Interesting speculations are also here:

Officially. the first day of the week is SUNDAY! To me though....it all starts on Monday!

I think we all agree: the first day is Monday because we have to go to work (or school) that day, but I also think that Sunday may be the first day of the week because all the calendars have Sunday as its first day of the week...
Too many words repeated jajaja it looks like a tongue twister!!

actually we don �t all start to work on a Monday, that is mainly so in countries influenced by Christian tradition. In Israel, for example, our workweek starts on a Sunday. All stores, factories, offices are closed on a Saturday but open again on Sunday. (yes, indeed, this means we have only one day of...boohooo) |
