Sunbeams are not made like me
Don �t expect me to cry
For all the reasons you had to die
Don �t ever ask your love of me

Does it mean "Don �t ever ask me to love you the way you love me"?

Sounds more like he is singing that he is not one that is going to be a "good Christian" so don �t ask him to cry about Christ �s actions nor babble religious dogma (which he believes to include lies).
He is not a "shiny (sunbeam) Christian" that runs around happy and beaming while preaching thier doctrine, so don �t ask him to be one.
