What word do we use in English when we can ´t see very well a photograph? the word in Spanish is that isn ´t "nítido", in English what do we use "clear, distinct, neat...?

I would say that the picture isn ´t sharp. And if it really looks more like fog, then I would say it is blurred. As you say about intendedly blurred faces, in order not to recognize a person.
But let ´s see what native speakers think. |

Hi Beefeater
We often say that a picture is blurred or blurry when the photographer accidentally moves the camera while taking the photo or when the subject moves.
If the subject is simply too far away from the camera and can not be clearly seen then we might say that it is not clear.

blurry is I think the best expression for this, bokeh is like a trick photographers do with their lens, the whole background is blurry, it comes from Japanese as far as I know. It looks like this:
