							| make love not war = be peacefulIf two former enemies met and then hugged they are now ´making love not war    so now we have an example of ´making love not war      We can ask ´Is that a good example of making love not war? or How ´s that for making love not war?   If we see a huge cake (for example) We can say ´How ´s that for a cake? (We are expecting a positive answer) The answer could be ´Yes. It ´s huge.     | 8 Jan 2012

							| I ´m not really sure how to explain it. It ´s like something is ironic in a way.

If you say someone is dumb and then they go on to do something really fantastic - they might answer "How ´s that for being dumb?"

 Regarding your example:

Perhaps two people fight all the time or don ´t agree about anything- and then they fall in love - then you could probably use that sentence.

that ´s the best I can do.
 Hope others can help.

							| Just a bit more to add:   Althought it comes across as a question it is often used as an exclamation and does not neccessarily require an answer.  It also be can be quite sarcastic.   For examples of usage click here  Cheers   Jayho | 9 Jan 2012
