							| Hi! A teacher corrected the following sentence in this way: I don t like playing tennis but he LIKES.
I think "likes" is not correct. I think...but he DOES is more correct.
 Do you agree with me?
 Thanks for your help!

							| You are right. You can say: I don t like playing tennis but he DOES. I don t like playing tennis but he LIKES (PLAYING) IT.

							| YES  ;o)) "He likes" is NOT a short answer response : "he likes"+ a complement, is needed, otherwise, it is not correct.    - like cannot stand alone ... like + something (you) like.   short answers: yes/no + subject + helping verb (do/did/BE/have/has/had/modal) ei   Yes, I do/ Yes I did/ Yes,I will....   | 24 Jan 2012

							| "Likes must have an object; so you could say "He likes it" or better still, "he does." Cheers Joy | 25 Jan 2012

							| when you use he likes, you must complete the sentence to the full grammatical version with an object and so on..   so he does is the correct one.. | 25 Jan 2012
