							| Although both  � and  �s are used after s in the singular, I like to teach only  �s, because it makes things simpler -  �s for all singular nouns.   If it is the broom of a particular witch, it has to be the witch �s broomstick. Otherwise, both are fine.   Bruce |  29 Jan 2012
