How do you say in English the person who works in a winery? Is he a winer?
 Thanks ,

							| Vintner, much more latin like, not that much English.
Think of Vintage wines - that s what a vintner does - prepares, selects, smels, tastes ( Oh God )  , probably I am speaking of some other different tasks.... not sure at all.  I am not an expert, I only drink them, do not select the vines....

							| I live in a wine producing area. We use the word winemaker.    A vintner is a winemaker or a wine merchant:   Extra information: Also (and I only know this word because it came up in a cryptic crossword), the science of winemaking is called oenology, giving us the word oenologist.   Viticulture is the growing of grapes, giving us the word viticulturist. | 31 Jan 2012
