							| Errie
It s not correct to say you are 53 kg because it s not what you are, it s what you weigh.
You colleagues may say it, but it s not correct.

You are a pilot or a teacher, or a mother or a hypochondriac.

On the other hand - you can answer:
 How tall are you?  I m 5 7

I don t know why - that s just how it is.

							| Nothing wrong with it, Errie, as your fellow native speakers would testify. And Michael Swan (Practical English Usage) would concur: "Be is also used to talk about age, height, length, weight, size, shape and colour."

							| No way Marion:) I remember the times when I was 53 kg and I can assure you I was NOT underweight and you know why? bc I am a shortie:) only 157 cm:) So it all depends on your age and height. Sophia | 4 Feb 2012
