							| Hello, can you help me? I don �t know, if I can use a phrase "It �s snowy." to answer the question "What �s the weather like today?" I look out of the window, there is a lot of snow everywhere, now it isn �t snowing, but maybe.... it is  going to snow.... Is it snowy? :-) Thanks for your answers.

							| Since the question was about the weather, not the condition of the ground or steets, I would say that "It �s snowy" isn �t quite right. I �d say "There �s snow on the ground". Even though that doesn �t describe the weather, it does give true and probably useful information.   Bruce |  6 Feb 2012

							| I think  �It �s snowy � is OK, if someone is asking  �what �s it like out there? � and it has been snowing. But not OK if it looks like it �s going to snow. In that case, you would say,  �it looks like snow. � Hello Bruce, if you are still reading this...
