With who(m) or who... with?

With who(m) or who... with?

Can we say "With who did you stay?" is incorrect?

Since "whom" has become less common and is more formal, would native speakers really say that? Or would "Who did he stay with?" be the only right option?

As far as what we say, it �s only "Who did you stay with?". we would never say (I hope I can speak for the vast majority of native speakers here) "With who did you stay?" If speaking formally, some would say "With whom did you stay?"

With who did you stay is denitely incorrect. It should be �with whom � (objective case after the preposition with) With whom did you stay?

But as Bruce said this is very formal and sounds quite old fashioned to modern English speakers. Who did you stay with? is the usual way we say it.
