							| hi! always remember for + period of time and since + date
 for example:
for the last week we ve been working on the present perfect.
since last week we ve been working on...
with "for" you insist on the time you spent working on that particular subject
with "since" you simply say when you started working on it...

							| Hi, The differance between the first sentenceand the second one is that: *for + a period of time ( for a week / the last week...) which means during the last week . while we use *since+ a starting point of time in the past( since last week /since 2001/Friday morning) That s why we should mention that the present perfect has always a relation with the present. | 3 Mar 2012

							| for + a period of time: - for a week, for 3 weeks, for a month, for many months, for a year, for decades, for a lot of years, for ages (we can draw a long period of time -----> on the timeline

since + exact moment, exact date:
 - since morning, since Saturday, since last week (=since last Monday), since 2 weeks ago, since last month, since Christmas, since my birthday, since the party, since last year, since 2008, since the beginning of the century, since my brother was born, since my childhood..
(we can draw a dot (o) on a timeline:   o--------->
the dot shows the exact moment when the activity started (last Monday = (o))

I have written 10 letters since last week. = I have written 10 letters for the last week.
(I have finished 10 letters since last Monday. = I have written 10 letters "from last Monday till now".)
