							| Have or spend a great time?
 |
							| Hi there!
Ive got a question about these two verbs.

Can I say "Im spending a great time in London" with the meaning of "Im having a great time in London"?

 Is the first sentence correct?

 Thanks in advance

							| No, Dulcinea, it doesn t work. You spend time, but you don t spend a time.   Bruce | 11 Apr 2012

							| I m glad I made you smile, Aldonza. That was my intention. I ve never read Don Quixote (although I think I have it in my library), but I ve seen Man of La Mancha.   Bruce | 11 Apr 2012
