							| I am trying to think of singular nouns that end in S although they are not plural:

forebears, descendants, mews, guts, outskirts
a pair of: trousers, jeans, knickers, pyjamas, headphones, scissors, shears, tongs, compasses, binoculars, tweezers, scales, (slippers, gloves, ear-rings)

I am trying to find nouns always ending in -s  or there is a change in meaning when the -s is omitted...  I would like to make a large poster on tricky nouns... Any help around?

							| Thank you Jayho, I had read the sites and incorporated all suitable words in my list yesterday. I used only some of the words suggested in those two websites.
I was looking for words that end in -s and the "singular" looks quite right, "probable", although if we omit -s, the word doesnt make sense. I dare say, most students wouldnt be baffled by the address, boss, access, bus, gas,  and wouldnt think those words are plurals and wouldnt form a singular such as: addres, bos, bu, ga... :-D
I mean, I had already picked all the tricky ones (IMHO) alghough I didnt use all words mentioned in those websites...
It seems to me that "my list" looks pretty complete now. Thank you  very much for your help! anaisabel001 and ascincoquinas
