							| Green salad or lettuce
 |
							| Hello everyone, I need some help. Is is possible that in the menu we can see written just lettuce instead of green salad?    Many thanks. | 3 May 2012

							| Yes. Lots of British people talk about lettuce rather than "green salad". | 3 May 2012

							| Maybe in a restaurant that is frequented by many models, where they really do serve lettuce on it s own I myself have only ever seen green salad , and lettuce written as an ingredient. | 3 May 2012

							| @evinches, But have you seen "lettuce" written as a menu item, rather than an ingerdient in a salad? Here in the US it doesn t happen.   Bruce | 3 May 2012

							| If I saw lettuce on a menu, I d think they were having a laugh. It s green salad. I d never order it, either way. Why would anybody bother chewing  something like that? | 3 May 2012
