I �ve recently taught this to my ss but did it through a simple exercise on first conditional in which they made statements about a lady who was thinking about the things she would do if she got a promotion: If she gets a promotion, she will... - go on a cruise - buy a car - move to a bigger house - buy some new clothes - have party
Unless she gets a promotion, she won �t... - go on a cruise - buy a car - move to a bigger house - buy some new clohes - have party
So they were really talking about the plans for the future.
