							| What is correct way to say One Direction? It s the name of the group my pre-teens love.  Is it  /dɪˈrekʃ(ə)n/   or /daɪ rekʃ(ə)n/ ?    Thanks! | 7 May 2012

							| Thanks a bunch for your replies. These guys are really helping my students learn English!  I wanted to make sure I was pronouncing the name of the group correctly.  I speak American English but, since the boys are British, the name of their band is definitely the second option: wuhn   /daɪ rekʃ(ə)n/ Thanks again! | 7 May 2012
