							| hello!   I ve got a question concerning numerical and letter grades. What do you call the opposite of a solid C grade (solid 3 garde) ?   Do you use the phrase: solid C (3) - a grade that is closer to B than to D? | 16 May 2012

							| Here in the States, a C+ is a grade that s a little better than a straight C. A C- is just barely a C at all. | 16 May 2012

							| that was precisly my question. English has word for a "straight C" (B or A for that matter), a solid C (C+) and .... what "barely a C"? What do you call a grade that is "barely" C/B/ D? Or do you only use that term? | 16 May 2012
