Hi, My fiends and I were arguing about soup...so our question is ... Do we EAT soup or DRINK it????? our search for an answer just confused us more....please help:)))))))) thanks...

Personally, I don �t say either. I use "have."
I �m going to have some soup. I had some soup in the morning. Etc.

Reem�s devilish first sentence reminds me of the time I lol�d at the spelling of a building in Oxford. I cringed inside when I was informed that the Freind Room was named after someone called Freind.
By the way, I tend to drink soup from a mug - particularly if it �s thin.

Well, it depends on the consistency of the soup, like in Turkey (congratulations TURKEY), I cook liquid soups as does my Mum - so they are more to drink than eat, but there are people who do it in a very dense way, like the Italians for instance, so in this case there �s no other possibility, we do eat such soups! Plus what MoodyMoody says....
