							| According to George Yule, the so called colletive nouns can be seen either as plural or singular nouns, depending on ther speaker �s perspective. You can have a noun being treated as both collective and singular in the same sentence: The family HAS decided THEY can �t afford a big wedding. The audience WAS cheering and clapping THEIR hands.
