							| Hello everybody,
I m working on propaganda posters and I m wondering what I should call the short sentence on the poster. For example "I want you for the US Army!"

Can I say it s a "caption"? is it simply a message, a sentence, or is there a more appropriate word?

 thanks for your help.

							| The text/caption on Maryse s original (based on the British Kitchener poster) is definitely a propaganda message-cum-slogan (from sluagh-ghairm : war cry in Sc. Gaelic) but the modern variations (as in frenchfrog s) are what would now be considered memes. | 3 Aug 2012
