Hello, dear friends!
Help, please, to clarify the meaning of the following phrases: to be in time and on time That �s what i found: in time- early or at the appointed time on time- at the expected or scheduled time But still i hesitate, �cause both phrases suggest fixed time. So what �s the difference???? |

I have heard both used but I would have to say that in time may sometimes suggest that perhaps the person did not think they would complete what they had to do at the appointed time but instead realized they had some time to spare.
I ran to school and arrived in time to go to the washroom before class.
Here it means I had time to spare.

Hello nesquichek!
These two phrases talk about fixed time, but there �s slight difference. I hope this will help.
ON TIME - If something happens on time, it happens at the time which was planned. = The opposite of on time is late.
IN TIME - soon enough. In time can also mean almost too late.
