							| Go with us native speakers on this: "I have read the story of Robin Hood." Part of the reason is that really, Robin Hood is a story, not a real person.   Another reason to avoid the possessive form here is that Robin Hood didn �t write the story. When I say, "I have read Edward Hoch �s story," I usually mean the story that Edward Hoch wrote (or at least a few of the nearly 1,000 he wrote), not the biography of Edward Hoch.  |  16 Aug 2012
