							| Dear friends,   I need some help with my students written work.   1. A girl says she s wearing "skinny trousers", is she right? The trousers she s wearing are very tihgt like leggings.   2.what s the nema for a swimming pool that the residents living in the same block of flats can share: community pool?   3. can you describe hair as "dark blonde" or is light brown better?   Thanks in advance!   Gloria | 23 Sep 2012

							| 1. Skinny trousers is fine. Also, skinny jeans. The material in leggings is very much thinner, a bit more like thick tights. 2. Communal pool. 3. Both dark blond and light brown are fine. Dark blond is lighter than light brown. | 23 Sep 2012

							| 1. Just to add to cunliffe s explanation, leggings are usually made from knit stretchy material. Skinny pants or trousers (I m American; we say pants) are usually made from tight woven and not very stretchy fabric, so movement is more confined.   2. I find nothing wrong with community or neighborhood pool.   3. What cunliffe said, but it isn t set in stone. | 23 Sep 2012
