Hi there! (longman dictionary online) sing somebody something Come on, sing us a song!
I �ve never been able to sing in tune (=sing the correct notes).
She patiently sang the baby to sleep. sing along phrasal verb
to sing with someone else who is already singing: Sing along if you know the words.
sing along to Jess was singing along to the radio. P.S: But I�ve heard "sing in duet". Best wait for Native speakers.

I wouldn �t say "sing in duo" or "sing in duet", but "sing in a duo/duet" or "sing as a duo/duet".

This is how I use the word:They sang a duo.They sang in unison. (the same notes) They sang in tune. (the correct notes - not out of tune or off key) She sings duets with her sister. She and her sister sing together as a duo. He sings in a trio. He sings in a quartet. I don �t say �in a duet �, since there are only two people, (not enough to be a group that you can be in) but others might use it that way. |
