							| INTO or ONTO
 Dear ESL Members

I came across both possibilities when telling the way.
 Which one is correct:

Then turn INTO or ONTO X street.

 Thanks

							| I think ONTO is possible in this case, since we use the preposition on associated with street, addind to for movement.   Teresa | 14 Oct 2012

							| I think it s a BE/AmE thing. I think that they would say "into" in England, but we say "onto" in the US.   Bruce | 14 Oct 2012

							| Agree with Bruce. And, you can also say, turn downturn along turn up. | 14 Oct 2012
