How much time should smartboard/computer based activities take?

Now that the topic of smartboards has emerged, I would like to know how much of it are you allowed to use during the lesson and if it could stay turned on during the whole lesson. Here in Ukraine (at least where I teach), they only allow us to use activities based on computer/smartboart/internet for no more than 15 minutes of the 45 min lesson. I �d like to know how it is for the teachers around the globe, so I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Sophia

We have no limit - except in theory, 15 mins a day of youtube. In fact, it seems to be encouraged and highly valued, which isn �t so good for a technophobe like me. |

In Portugal we can base all our 50 minute lesson on computer. In my school I have the e-book with interactive software, so I use the computer everyday! |
