							| In or at?
 |
							| Hi!   Which of the following sentences is better?   I usually have lunch at the restaurant near my office   I usually have lunch in the restaurant near my office   I would use the first option, but one of my students wrote "IN" and I want to be sure that it is really wrong before correcting it. I know the rule (AT should be right), but is IN possible too?   Thanks   Chiara | 26 Oct 2012

							| I can t say that "in" is incorrect, but it isn t usual here, and "at" is definitely correct and far more common.   Bruce | 26 Oct 2012

							| Yes, at is what we say. Replace the restaurant with the name and you wouldn t say in . I have lunch at Luigi s and I have dinner at Valentino s. | 27 Oct 2012
