hi, I need help here. Anyone please. I �ve a small group of 12 years old kids and I �ve to teach them only oral English. It �s an out of school activity. I �ve never done this before n I don �t know how to start. I need ideas on course planning.

Hi!
You need to focus on songs and oral games. They are both oral and the students can learn so much from them, if they are good enough.
I teach primary students and the classes are almost always oral based. I only give worksheets from now and then, because at this stage the most important is the oral basis. It �s easiear than it seems at first ;)

I am doing something similar with students os 1st Eso. (I teach the subject "ingl�s practico" So far, I have taught them many things, just oral English, and most of them with games from eslprintables. What I have done: - . personal information (including email address, spelling, numbers up to 100) - describing people What I am going to do the next months: - description of things which are is the house, in a room... - directions - at the restaurant - shopping - at the doctor �s - things you are doing at the moment - routines - things in the past I think that �s everything. I always take into account whatr they are doing in the English class. For example, as they have just seen the verb "to be" and "have got", I have just used these verbs these months. Now, as they are going to study "there is", we are going to describe things: one person describes and the other one draws a picture of the description....

For vocabulary on descriptions, the use of the verb to be and to have, my students absolutely love playing who is who with the real board game. THey love turning down the cards and all those things. It�s one of the games which has always worked better for me. Even those students who rarely talk end up talking a lot.
And here in the site there are lots and lots of wonderful games to use.
