							| I d say " agent" or " (car) dealer" but lets see what native speakers think . In my opinion "an operator" is somebody who runs a business or who is employed to operate a machine...   Flori | 21 Jan 2013

							| Great question by the way!
 Some businesses use:
 1. Service assistant
 2. Clerk
 3. Agent

 Personally, I prefer "Service Assistant".

 All the best.

							| Here in the States, we d say agent. A car dealer sells cars (or leases for long-term) but doesn t rent. | 21 Jan 2013
