							| Don īt + Verb
 |
							| Hello dear colleagues, I need your help in the function of "Don īt + Verb". Does it express prohibition or warning? My colleagues at school taught it to their pupils as prohibition while I taught it as warning. I don īt know who is right and who is wrong. | 27 Feb 2013

							| Prohibition, as in, īDon īt do that!   It can also be a warning, when qualified, as in, īDon īt do that, unless you want to end up dead. | 27 Feb 2013
