							| I agree with Lynne. "I m seeing the film with Mark this Friday" is fine, and commonly used.   Bruce | 3 Mar 2013

							| I m seeing a film with Mark this Friday, is correct as it s using the present continuous as close future. I m seeing a film now, would not be correct. In that sense it would have to be, I m watching a film now.  We don t use the verb see in the present continuous if the verb means to see with the eyes.  However, the doctor is seeing a patient, is correct because it means meeting. We tend to collocate the verb see with film/movie in the past, future, present perfect, sometimes the present but never the present continuous (meaning at this time). For that we would use the verb watch. And now I have a headache and need to take an aspirin!   | 3 Mar 2013

							| There are some other cases in which "see" can be used in the present continuous. You can tell the doctor "I m seeing spots before my eyes", indicating that it s happening right now, but not necessarily all the time (which would be indicated by "I see spost before my eyes"). When a fortune teller looks into her crystal ball (I actually knew a young lady named Crystal Ball). djr ,ohjy dsu "I am seeing a tall stranger".   Bruce | 3 Mar 2013
