(I wonder whether you can say so)

I disagree with #2. "Till" and "until" are used with a point in time, not a range of time. We would say "He will stay in Jijel until the middle of August", but not "until the first half of August". None of the choices actually work in #2. I might say "He will stay in Jijel through the first half of August". Bruce |

By the way, "till" and "until" are interchangeable. Many people in the US seem to think that "till" is an abbreviation of "until", and so they spell it either �til, til � or just til, all of which are wrong. Some people add an extra l on the end of until, also. Bruce |
