 Modesty is the best of all virtues.      or Modesty is the best of all the virtues.

							| Hey! I think that the first one is the best. Because you are refering to virtues ingeneral, and that modesty is the best in that category. When se talk about something in general, we normaly do not use THE. For example, nature (not the nature). |  13 May 2013
