							| Strange sentence?
 |
							| Hello dear friends!   I would like to know if the following sentence is correct? If it sounds strange, how would you rewrite it?   "Target of the course: developing and improving the listening, speaking and writing skills in business english."   Thank you very much! | 16 May 2013

							| It sounds OK to me.
Maybe you could put Target of the course: to develop and improve listening, speaking and writing skills in Business English. | 16 May 2013

							| Technically, what you wrote isn t a sentence at all. However, I agree with Lynne; this is fine as the introduction to a syllabus. Her suggestion is also good. There s a very slight difference in meaning between your phrasing and hers: yours emphasizes the process, and hers emphasizes the goal. Use the one you like better. | 16 May 2013

							| I would say "aim" or "goal" instead of "target", and I agree with what Lynne said.   Bruce | 16 May 2013

							| I think it would be better like this:
Aim of the course: Develop and improve listening, speaking and writing skills in Business English.  | 16 May 2013
