							| a. is correct = reading inside the library;
 b. is just possible = meaning reading somewhere next to the library, may be in front of it.

							| That s a good answer, but we do say at , when in would make more sense.
 Where s Mum? At the shop/ at the pub... etc. If you need to be precise, then in comes into play. Meet at the library - probably outside. In the library - definitely inside.  I think both a and b are OK. Except word order for b. She s at the library, reading.
 Isn t English funny? Why do we say on the bus, when we are inside the bus? Hey ho! | 28 May 2013

							| Both are correct, one focuses more on the fact that it is taking place inside the library, the other focuses on the location (geographically).  In this case I would use "in the library" in order to prevent repeating the word "at".   Douglas | 28 May 2013

							| I agree with Douglas, but I wouldn t worry about the repitition of "at" (We in the US hate redundancy, even when it is just a repetition and not truly redundant). I would be more likely to say "at the library", unless I am standing near the library and need to make it known that she is inside.   Bruce | 28 May 2013

							| I think we learn to say the wright way is "at the library" but no problem in usage of "In tyhe library".. | 28 May 2013
